Leaves sessile, narrowly lanceolate to linear, 1--3 cm × 2--5 mm, midvein conspicuous, abaxially white woolly, adaxially gray green, sparsely hairy or glabrous, base rounded or cuneate, apex acute. Flowers few, in terminal cymes. Pedicel erect in fruit, longer than leaves, white woolly. Sepals 5, ovate-lanceolate, 5--7 mm, outside lanate, margin membranous, apex acute. Petals 5, shorter than sepals, 2-cleft nearly to base; lobes linear. Stamens 8, shorter than petals. Styles 3. Capsule narrowly ovoid, ca. 2 × as long as persistent sepals, 6-valved. Seeds brown, reniform, granulose. Fl. Jun--Jul, fr. Aug--Sep.
