Barbula dialytrichoides Thér. in Broth., Nat. Pflanzenfam. (ed. 2) 10: 280. 1924, nom. nud.

Plants soft, in loose tufts. Leaves narrowly ovate- or triangular-lanceolate, blunt or rounded-obtuse at the apex; margins entire, revolute near the apex; costa stout, percurrent; upper leaf cells quadrate to hexagonal, orderly arranged, thin-walled, indistinctly uni- to multi-papillose; basal cells slightly larger, irregularly rectangular, smooth, hyaline. Sporophytes not seen.

Type. Indonesia: Java.

XIZANG: Mo-tuo Co., Y.-G. Su 3314 (HKAS); Ya-dong Co., M. Zang 504 (HKAS). YUNNAN: Rui-li Co., X.-J. Li 195 (HKAS).

Habitat: on rocks or soil walls in moist places; Distribution: China, Nepal, India, Indonesia, and the Philippines.
