Plants tiny, ca. 1.5 mm high, green to yellowish green, in low dense tufts. Stems simple, densely foliate, radiculose at base. Leaves tubulose, oblong-ligulate, often plicate near base, bluntly apiculate; margins plane, entire; costa percurrent or ending in a few cells below the apex; upper leaf cells rounded hexagonal, rather thin-walled, bulging or mammillose; basal cells enlarged, rectangular, thin-walled, smooth, yellowish. Autoicous. Setae ca. 7 mm long, yellowish; capsules erect, ovoid-cylindrical; peristome teeth linear-subulate, erect, densely papillose.
