Monoecious trees, resiniferous. Leaves spirally arranged. Male cones with spirally arranged scales, each with 2‑8‑microsporangia on lower surface. Female cones round, woody, with 2‑9 ovules on the upper surface. Seeds winged.
10 genera and 16 species. Represented in Pakistan by 1 cultivated species.
