Biennial or perennial, whitish-villose herbs. Leaves oblong, deeply 3-pinnatisect, uppermost filiform. Capitula homogamous, discoid, numerous, in congested corymbs. Involucre hemispherical, phyllaries ± equal. Receptacle convex-hemispherical, chaffy in upper part, paleae linear-lanceolate, obtuse, membranous. Ray-florets absent. Disc-florets bisexual, with ± cylindrical, upwardly gradually dilated, 5-toothed, campanulate, sparsely punctate-glandular corolla tube. Cypselas lengthwise prominently 5-ribbed, ± truncate at the apices. Pappus short coronate.

A monotypic Central Asian genus, recorded for the first time from Pakistan.
