Twining subshrub, branches glabrous. Leaves opposite, cordate Flowers in lax few-flowered lateral pedunculate cymes. Calyx 5-partite, not glandular in-side. Corolla rotate, lobes imbricate to the right, glabrous. Corona represented by a fleshy ring at the base of the gynostegium. Gynostegium arising from the base of the corolla. Filaments connate, anther-wings large decurrent to the base of the gynostegium: Pollinium 1 in each cell, pendent, waxy, without pellucid margins. Follicles cylindrical, slightly tapering.
A genus with 1-2 species, distributed in Pakistan, India, Ceylon, Burma, Malaya and China; represented in Pakistan by 1 species.
