Annual or perennial herbs. Leaves lanceolate or linear-lanceolate, only with a midrib. Flowers in compound cymes. Sepals 5, herbaceous, free. Petals 5, entire or toothed. Stamens 10 or more, borne on a glandular disc. Styles 2-3. globose, membranous, splitting almost to the base by 2(-4) valves. Seeds tuberculate, back canaliculate.
A small N. W. Asiatic genus with 4 species. Three species occur in Pakistan.
