Twining shurb, branches glabrous or pubescent. Leaves ovate-oblong to broadly ovate. Flowers in extra-axillary sessile or shortly pedunculate, many flowered umbelloid cymes. Calyx lobes ovate to lanceolate. Corolla twisted in bud, tubular-campanulate, inflated at the base, villous in the throat. Corona arising from the staminal column not at all adnate to the corolla. Corona lobes with the free part expanded and with a linear appendage arising from the inner face. Pollinia solitary in each locule, erect, waxy. Follicles straight, smooth, tapering to a point.
A genus with c. 10 species, distributed in Old World Tropics; represented in Pakistan by only 1 species.
