Boerhavia diffusa Linn., Sp. Pl. 3. 1753.
Resembles Boerhavia procumbens Banks ex Roxb. from which it differs mainly in its fusiform fruits. I have not seen any authentic specimens of this species from Pakistan. It is common in Sri Lanka (the type locality of this species.)
