The inclusion of this species is based on the record from "Kashmir" in Flora British India (l.c.). No specimens from our area have been seen and its presence (the species has an overall distribution similar to Elsholtzia fruticosa) must be considered rather doubtful. The species does occur at Chamba, Himachal Pradesh in adjacent NW India.
