A straggling shrub up to 180 cm tall. Leaves 5-10 x 4-6 cm, ovate, acute or acuminate, glabrous. Corolla orange-yellow; lobes ovate, obtuse, reflexed.

Type: Cultivated, England ex Guatemala.
Distribution: Native to Guatemela. Cultivated elsewhere.
Parker (l.c.) reports that the species is cultivated at Abbottabad.
