Dracaena graminifolia L.
Plants 15-40 cm tall. Roots adventitious with tubers. Leaves grass-like, narrowly linear, radical; margin entire; veins 3-5. Scape as long as or longer than the leaves, leaf-less. Flowers erect, numerous in interrupted clusters arranged in groups of 3-5 along the raceme, erect, pedicellate; pedicel jointed. Perianth segments 6, free, white to lavender, spreading from the base of the ovary. Stamens 6, filaments longer than the anthers. Ovary superior, tri-locular, with 2 ovules in each locule. Style shorter than the perianth segments. Fruit capsular, not 3-angled, walls thin; seed fleshy.
