Myricaria Sect. Parallelantherae Myricaria ser. Ellegantae
Tall shrub. Leaves not reduced or scale-like, normal, alternate, exstipulate, sessile, elliptic-lanceolate to oblong-ovate. Calyx 5-lobed, lobes triangular ovate. Petals 5, free, inserted below the almost obsolete disc. Stamens 10, alternately long and short, free never monadelphous, anthers sagittate, persistent. Ovary pyramidal shaped with basal placentas, ovlues numerous, stgmas3, capitate. Seeds many, beaked at the apex beak comose.
A monotypic genus, basically a Central Asian element, distributed in Western Himalyas, Northern Tibet, South and West Kashgharia (Yarkand) and Pakistan.
