Nerium grandiflorum Roxb.
Stem up to 16 cm in diameter, bark grey. Leaves elliptic, abruptly narrowed at both ends, 5-11 x 3.7-5 cm, glossy above, green beneath. Petiole 0.8-1.3 cm long. Flowers in di-or tri-chotomous cymes. Bracts caducous. Corolla 5-6 cm long, shortly tubular below, lobes broad, acute. Follicles 10-13 x 25-2.6 cm, woody, angled or winged. Seeds 8-9 mm long, oblong compressed, coma c. 3.8 cm long.

Distribution: A native of Madagascar, introduced in many warmer parts of the world, including Pakistan and India as an ornamental.
