Spergula vulgaris Boem.
Annual, stems ascending, 12-25 cm, glabrous, ± glandular pubescent above. Leaves in false whorls, 10-35 mm, linear-subulate, channeled below. Flowers solitary or in few-flowered cymes. Pedicel often pubescent, slender. Petals white, obovate, entire, as long as or slightly exceeding the sepals. Capsule ovoid, longer than the sepals. Seeds 1-2 mm, subglobase, papillose or not, keeled or with a narrow wing.
Fl. Per.: March-April.
Type: Described from Europe. Hb. Linn. 604/1 (LINN).
Distribution: Cosmopolitan.
I have seen only a single specimen.
