Orobanche cernua var. hansii (Kern.) BeckOrobanche inconspicua Gontsch.
Biennial or perennial, 20-40 cm tall, glabrous to pubescent; scales up to 12 mm long. Spikes dense. Bracts ovate, shorter than corolla with strong parallel veins; bracteoles absent. Calyx about half as long as the corolla with segments divided to the middle with lanceolate lobes. Corolla 20-25 mm long, nearly straight or slightly curved, glabrous or subglabrous, tubulose, with short, crenate, blue to violaceous lobes. Stamens inserted on the corolla tube at ovary level; filaments glabrous; anthers hairy. Capsules 6-7mm long.
Type: Himalayas, Bhaga valley, 3300-3700m, parasitic on Artemisia, Jaeschke (WU).
Distribution: Himalayas, Tibet, Pakistan, Afghanistan and Iran.
