Annual, with ascending to decumbent, slender weak stems, 6-12 cm long. Stems branched, glabrous, apex acute, base sessile. Flowers in terminal umbellate cymes. Pedicels 20-30 mm, capillary. Bracts lanceolate, sometimes scarinous. Sepals 1.5-2 mm, glabrous, ovate with a scarious margin. Petals absent. Styles 3. Capsule ovoid, exceeding the sepals. Seeds granulate.

Syntypes: Sikkim Himalaya; W. Tibet (Nubra).
Distribution: Kashmir, W. Tibet, Ladak, Sikkim Himalaya.
A distinct species with the flowers arranged in umbellate cymes. Possibly not different from the C. Asiatic, S. umbellate Turcz. (1842).
