Urtica parviflora Roxb.
Monoecious, annual, glabrous or pubescent, up to 1.5 m tall herb, copiously covered with stinging hairs. Leaves with 0.5-6.5 cm long petiole; lamina elliptic to ovate-lanceolate, 2.5-10 cm long, 2.5-6.5 cm broad, subcordate at the base, irregularly serrate or double serrate, apex acuminate or not; stipules connate, oblong-ovate, 5-12 mm long, entire, glabrous. Panicle of cymes axillary, as long as leaves, puberulous and covered with stinging hairs. Flowers green. Sepals hispid. Achenes minute, elliptic-rotundate, brown.
Fl.Per.: March-August.
Type: Described from Nepal.
Distribution: Pakistan eastwards to Sikkim and W. China from 1000 to 4500 m.
