Valeriana carinata var. navicularis Krok
Plant 8-27 cm tall. Leaves lanceolate, 2-3 cm long, 2-4 mm broad. Bracts narrowly ovate, 1.5-2 mm long. Fruiting branches not thickened. Calyx shortly cupular, glandular, papillose, anterior groove deep; sterile locule pair ± size of the fertile one.
Fl. Per.: April-May.
Type: ‘In Campsis altiorum montium Talish’ (LE).
Distribution: C. and SW. Asia, USSR, Iran, Afghanistan and Pakistan.
Not common. Found in dry hilly regions from 1300-2000 in.
