Mimosa lucida Roxb.
A large nearly evergreen tree. Petiole and pinnae usually with a large gland. Pinnae 1-2 pairs. Leaflets 1-6 pairs, lamina c. 5-12.5 cm long, 2.5-5 cm broad, elliptic, acuminate, shining. Inflorescence peduncled heads arranged in terminal panicles. Flower sessile c. 5-8 mm long. Pod 15-20 cm long.
Fl. Per. May- June.
Distribution: Native of E. Himalayas, Nepal eastwards. Cultivated in Punjab.
