Leaves shiny; leaflets elliptic-oblong. Flowers usually 2, axillary, lavender blue with a yellowish tube. Capsule ± prickly.

Distribution: A native of Brazil and Uruguay.
An ornamental climbing shrub, sparingly cultivated in Abbottabad (Dist. Hazara).
