Twiners. Stems glabrous, angled. Leaves alternate, petiolate. Petiole up to 3 cm, glabrous to sparsely pilose, oval to broadly ovate with rounded bases, some slightly cordate. Lamina 5x7 cm, margin crenate to serrate, surface sparsely hirsute, apex obtuse to acute. Flowers axillary or terminal, peduncle 1-flowered. Pedicels up to 6 cm, glabrous to pilose. Calyx lobes elliptic to lanceolate, leaf-like, margin crenate to serrate, pilose, c. 2 cm long, acute to obtuse. Corolla widely campanulate, shortly lobed, blue, 2-3x1.5-2 cm. Stamens situated at the margin of the disc, filaments dilated at the base, anthers oblong, c. 5 mm long. Style cylindric, stigmas 3 with ovate lobes. Capsule hemispherical. Seeds c. 2 mm long, ellipsoid, minutely reticulate.
