Pinus halepensisMiller var. brutia (Ten.)
The species resembles P halepensis but differs in the ± erect to spreading, subsessile female cones and longer rigid, thicker leaves.
Type: In nemoribus Calabriae occidentalis: Aspromone, Tenore.
Reported by Riedl (I.c.) from Kurram as cultivated; based on an Aitchison gathering; Distribution: Italy, Greece, Cyprus, Kurdistan, W. Syria, W.Caucasus.
