The ‘garden geranium’ with red, scarlet or white flowers. The plant parts have a disagreeable smell when crushed.

Distribution: Widely cultivated in most tropical countries or in greenhouses.
Several cultivated hybrids are grown in Pakistan as ornamental plants: x hybridum (L.) L’Herit; Pelargonium inquinans x Pelargonium zonale etc.
