Annual, erect or diffuse, 15-30 cm tall herbs. Stem glandular pubescent. Leaves 1-5 cm long, 0.5-1 cm broad, oblong-lanceolate, acute or subobtuse, nearly glabrous. Flowers 1-2 in most of the upper axils of the leaves, subsessile, yellow. petals c. 3 mm long, ovate with truncate base, apex acute, midrib distinct. Stamens included. Capsule c. 3 mm in diam., dehiscing at the apex. Seeds many, very minute. 2n= 18

Distribution: N.W. India, W. Pakistan, Iran, Egypt and tropical Africa. Reported from Baluchistan by E. S-Temesy.
