Plant 9-15 cm tall. Leaves 2.5-3.5 cm X 2.5-5 mm, linear to lanceolate. Calyx 6-10 lobed; lobes unequal, uncinate. Achene 5-6 mm long, tuberculate, curved, bigibbous at the base; sterile locules reduced.
Type: In Persia australis monte Perezand.' Aucher4686 (holo- G; iso- K).
Distribution: C. Asia, Iran, N. Iraq, Turkey, Syria, Afghanistan and Pakistan.
Reportedly collected from Kurram (Aitchison 59 & 219, det. Lipsky); not yet definitely recorded from Pakistan but to be expected in Baluchistan or Waziristan and Kurram.
