Arisaema pertusum H. Riedl in Anz. Math.-Nat. Kl. Oesterr. Akad-Wiss. 102 (14) 323. 1965.

The inclusion of this species is only tentative, due to insufficient and incomplete data. The species is remarkable in the possession of leaf perforations. K.H. Rechinger in a brief note on this species in concluding remarks (l.c. 326), mentions that of the 2 specimens of the same gathering only the larger plant has perforated leaves. Besides the type specimen is in a vegetative state and is devoid of the inflorescence and the underground tuber.

Type: Kurram: Zeran Valley, 2000 m, Afendi 62 (W).

The holotype, apart from the leaf perforations, is reminscent of Arisaema tortuosum var. curvatum. More collection is required for further study and verification. Recently Dr. Riedl mentioned in a letter that this species has also been collected from Afghanistan.
