Festuca rubra var. clarkei Stapf
Lemma lanceolate, glabrous or hairy, 6-7.5 mm long, with an awn (2.8-) 3.2-5 mm long; ovary glabrous or thinly hairy at the tip. Leaf-blades often with sclerenchyma on the upper epidermis. Panicle-branches scabrid.
Type: India, Clarke 22416 (K).
Distribution: Pakistan (N.W.F.P. & Kashmir); Himalayas and Yunan.
