Festuca rubra subsp. rubra
Lemma lanceolate, glabrous or hairy, 4-6mm long, with an awn (0.8-) 1.2-3(-3.5)mm long; ovary glabrous. Leaf-blades usually without sclerenchyma on the upper epidermis. Panicle-branches scabrid.
Fl. & Fr. Per.: July-August.
Type locality: Europe.
Distribution: Pakistan (N.W.F.P., Gilgit & Kashmir); Europe, temperate Asia and North America.
