Isotype: Abyssina, Dschadscha, 1 Oct. 1854;fl.fr. Schimper 2306 (K!PI).
Distribution: Ethiopia and Pakistan.
It occurs in Baluchistan. The present variety differs from the preceding var. hirtum by its ovate, coarse, deep and irregular serrate leaves.
