Impatiens lemannii subsp. lemannii

Plants erect to semierect, glabrous. Leaves ovate-suborbiculate, lower ones opposite, upper alternate and opposite; 20-60 x 13-38 mm, with a few stipitate glands on the margin, lateral nerves 4-6 pairs; crenate, dentate, subacute, embedded with raphides; petiole of lower and middle leaves 10-32 mm long, slender. Inflorescence terminal and subterminal, not interrupted; peduncles 1-3(-4)-flowered, up to 38 mm long. Bracts ovate-lanceolate, 2.5-3 mm long, mucronate; mucro less than 1 mm long. Flowers pink and yellow, parts (petals) embedded with raphides. Lateral sepal ovate-subcordate, c. 3.5 mm long, mucronate; lower sepal infundibuliform, 24 mm with spur or more, spur curved. Anterior petal suborbiculate, 11 x 12 mm; lateral united petals 19 mm long, 2-lobed, lower petal broadly oblique-obovate, larger than the upper one, apex retuse or not. Capsule subclavate, 20-22 mm long, usually erect, less often nodding. Seeds few, oblong 2.5-3 mm long, rugose.
