Sorghum x drummondii (Nees ex Steud.) Millspaugh & Chase in Publ. Field Columb. Mus. Bot. 3:21. 1903. (Andropogon drummondii Nees ex Steud., Syn. Pl. Glum. 1:393. 1854).

Vern.: Jowar.

is intermediate between Sorghum bicolor and Sorghum arundinaceum and is represented not only by hybrids between them, but also by throwbacks from the cultivated form. It is found in ruderal habitats and abandoned farmland and is transient in its existence, eventually reverting to Sorghum arundinaceum. Sudan Grass (Sorghum sudanense (Piper) Stapf) is a cultivated segregate from this complex and is grown in Pakistan.
