Plants perennial, up to 1 m tall. Stem glabrous to pilose. Leaves ovate to lanceolate, frequently lanceolate, apex usually attenuate, pubescent. Flowers at the tip of branches or axillary on long peduncles. Calyx segments narrow, lanceolate, bases not overlapping, sinus obtuse or acute, margin scabrid or pilose. Corolla up to 1 cm broad at base. Stigma broadly tri-lobed.

Syntypes from Afghanistan (Kurram Vally) and Turkistan.
Distribution Turkistan, Afghanistan and Chitral.
