Perennial, 4-10 cm high, glabrous or subpubescent herb. Rhizome slender, unbranched, brownish. Leaves ovate to broad ovate, obtuse, base rounded, crenate to subentire, 0.5-2.0 x 0.4-1.0 cm; petiole 1-2.5 cm long, winged; glabrous, stipules 2-4 x 0.5-1.0 mm, ovate-lanceolate, less firmbriate, rather dentate, adnate till middle, acuminate, brownish in colour. Peduncle glabrous, upto 4.5 cm long; bracteoles 2, opposite, narrow lanceolate, below the middle, 1.0-3.0 x 1.0 mm, acute. Flowers 0.8-1.25 cm long, yellow. Sepals 0.3-0.5 x 0.1-0.2 cm, ovate-lanceolate, acute, with membranous, entire-subentire margin. Petals 0.6-0.8 x 0.2-0.3 cm, obovate-oblanceolate, obtuse, striped, lateral petal 0.8-1.0 x 0.2-0.4 cm; spur 4.0 mm long, obtuse, straight to subcurvate. Ovary ovate, 4.0 mm long, 1-1.5 mm broad. Style 2 mm long; stigma beaked, slightly papillose.

Type: Described from Zeravshan (the Dzhizhikurt Ravine), O. Fedtschenko (LE).
Distribution: Pakistan and Central Asia.
