YASIN J. NASIR
A branched perennial up to 40 cm tall; branches erect-ascending to ± spreading, antrorsely hairy; hairs ± 0.5 mm long, with tubercled base. Lower leaves ovate-lanceolate or lanceolate, 20-40 x 5-15 mm, nerves impressed on upper sruface, scabrid with short strigose hairs swollen at base, margin entire to undulate. Petiole up to 7 mm long; upper leaves smaller and subsessile. Inflorescence terminal, 3-9-flowered. Pedicel from 2-5 mm long. Calyx 5-partite, c. 4.5 mm long; lobes lanceolate, 34 mm long, strigosely hairy. Corolla tube strigosely hairy, 5-5.5 mm long; limb 4-5 mm broad, 5-lobed; throat and lobes dense hairy within and above the stamens. Anthers 1.5-2 mm long, elongate, subsessile. Ovary 4-lobed, c. 1 mm long, ± compressed. Stigma c. 0.7 mm long, style obscure. Nutlets usually 4, 2 mm long, glabrous, dark brown.
