YASIN J. NASIR
Cynoglossum stamineum Desf.Solenanthus conglobatus DC.Solenanthus strictissimus BrandSolenanthus tournefortii DC.
Resembling the previous species but differing in the narrower leaves, the gradually tapering petioles and stem leaves not sheathing.
Fl. Per.: May June.
Type: Turkey Cappadocia, Tournefort s.n. (P).
The species according to Kazmi (l.c. 135) has also been coriseted from Gilgit and Hazara (NWFP). The anther size varies from 0.5-1 mm, and is not appreciably larger than in Solenanthus circinnatus. I have examined the type material of Solenanthus strictissimus (Gilgit expedition, Giles in Herb. Griffith 5980, E). I agree with Kazmi’s view (l.c.) in considering Solenanthus strictissimus as identical with Solenanthus stamineus.
