Type: Described from Iran.
Distribution: Egypt, Iraq, Iran and Pakistan.
This taxon is recorded for the first time from Pakistan. The two forms i.e. f. cucullaris and f. aperta differ quite remarkably in habit and fruit size and usually occur together. However, intermediates are also frequent.
