Leaves 1-3 cm long, recurved in fruit. Stem angles, margins of the leaves and midrib strongly scabrid. Peduncle up to 1 cm long.
Fl. Per.: April-August.
Type: Britain, Isle of Wight, in fields near Carisbrook D. Turner & W. Borrer (BM).
Distribution: Pakistan, Iran, Afghanistan, Western Asia, Caucasia, N. Africa and Central & South Europe.
