Herba annua, prostrate Caules quadrangulares; anguli pills longis uncinatis obtecti. Folia 4-nata, ovata-elliptica, breviter petiolata, trinervia, apice obtusa sed mucronulata, ad nervos pilis uncinatis obtecta, 6-9 x 3-5 mm, membranacea. Inflorescentiae axillares, 3-florae. Flores parvi, ± 1 mm diameiro. Pedunculi 3-4 mm longi, glabri, pedicellis brevioribus ± 0.5 mm longis in fructa ± decurvatis. Corollae lobi elliptico-ovati, acuti, ± 0.5 mm longi. Fructus subglobosus, ± 0.75 mm diametro, pills compressis obsitus. Mericarpia 1-2.
Prostrate annual herb. Stem quadrangular, angles covered with white long hooked hairs. Leaves 4 in a whorl, ovate-broadly elliptic, shortly petiolate, trinerved, apex obtuse, acute-acuminate, covered on nerves with hooked hairs, 6-9 x 3-5 mm, membranous. Inflorescence axillary, usually 3-flowered. Flowers small, c. 1 mm in diameter. Peduncles 3-4 mm long, glabrous, pedicel short, c. 03 mm long, ± decurved in fruit. Corolla lobes elliptic-ovate, acute, c. 0.5 mm long. Fruit globose-subglobose, c. 0.75 mm in diameter, hairy with white compressed hairs, mericarps 1-2.

Distribution: Known from type locality only.
Apparently resembling Galium elegans Wall. in having elliptic-ovate hairy to pubescent trinerved leaves and hairy fruits but in Galium elegans Wall. the leaves are larger (10-30 x 5-15 mm) vinous pubescent beneath and the fruit covered with soft whitish hooked hairs while in Galium stewartii Nazim. the leaves are small (6-9 x 3-5 mm), hairy on nerves only and the fruits are covered with short compressed hairs.
