Perennial, 10-25 mm, with divaricate branching. Stems glabrous. Leaves few, usually at base of stems, 10-25 x 2-4 mm, linear-lanceolate, acute. smaller, linear, with a scarious margin. Flowers in compound dichasial cy Pedicels slender, much longer than calyx. Calyx 2-3 mm, glabrous, lobed almost to the base, 3-nerved; teeth with scarious margin. Petal as long as or slightly longer than calyx, deeply divided into linear lobes. Capsule globose, as long as calyx. Seeds c. 1 mm.

Type: Described from Yan-Dar (LE).
Distribution: Central Asia (Kyzl-Kum, Kara-Kum), Iran, N. W. & W. Pakistan.
Grows on dry slopes amongst rocks and pebbles at ± 1576 m.
