Perennial with a woody stock. Stem 35-60 cm, erect, stout, branched Leaves 70-130 x 2-3 mm, linear, acute, serrulate. Flowers solitary, terminal. Bracteoles 4)-6), broadly ovate long cuspidate, reaching 2/3 the calyx length, ebarbulate.

Distribution: Kashmir. W. Tibet.
Blatter (l.c.) records it to be common in Ferozpur Nala, Gulmarg (Kashmir) at ± 2130 m.
