Biennial, green, up to 6 cm high herb. Stem numerous, branched from base, puberulent-pubescent. Basal leaves indistinct, stiff, 1.0-1.7 x 0.3-0.5 cm, lanceolate, margin cartilaginous, entire, ± reflexed, acuminate, univeined. Cauline leaves stiff, 0.75-1.75 x 0.3-0.6 cm, lanceolate, margin cartilaginous, entire, acuminate. Inflorescence many flowered, congested, terminal, subaxillary cyme. Flower campanulate, sessile, 0.8-1.2 cm long. Calyx 0.5-1.0 cm long, tube 0.3-0.7 cm long, lobes 0.25-0.5 x 0.1-0.175 cm, lanceolate, entire, cartilaginous, acuminate. Corolla 0.8-1.2 cm long, tube longer than lobes, 0.4-0.7 cm long, lobes 0.15-0.3 x 0.1-0.15(-0.2) cm, ovate, entire, obtuse, plicae smaller than lobes, 0.05-0.1 x 0.025-0.05 cm, ovate, (entire-) crenate, acute. Stamens 5, filaments filiform, adnate at middle of corolla, anthers dorsifixed, sagittate, bilobed. Ovary 0.2-0.5 x 0.1-0.2 cm, lanceolate, style slender, stigma not distinct, bifid, coiled. Nectaries at base of ovary. Capsule not seen.
