Perennial. Stem 10-100 cm, unbranched. Basal leaves 5-15 x 05-15 cm, oblong ovate to ovate-spathulate, obtuse or sub-acute, rosulate. Cauline leaves 3-8 x 0.5-1 cm, ± connate at the base. Inflorescence paniculate. Flowers pentamerous or tetramerous. Calyx lobes 3-10 x 1-3 mm, ovate, acute to acuminate rarely obtuse. Corolla greenish yellow or with bluish tinge, tube 1-2 mm, lobes 3-8 x 1-3 mm, ovate, obtuse or sub-acute. Glands two per segment, confluent, cushion-shaped, fimbriate or rarely not or less fimbriate. Filaments 4-5 mm, anther ovate. Ovary 4-6 mm, stigmas sub-orbicular to orbicular. Capsule 6-10 mm. Seeds flat annular winged.
