Petals densely bearded; glands broadly transverse-oblong, extending nearly across lower portion of petal, depressed, strongly arched distally, membranes deeply fringed.
Flowering late spring--mid summer. Grassy hillsides, open woods; 1500--2500 m; Idaho, Mont., Oreg., Wash.
