Leaf blades 8–25+ × 4–20 mm, sometimes obscurely 3(–5)-lobed. Cypselae 4–5 × 1.6–2.8 mm, including wings. 2n = 28.
Flowering summer–fall. Limestone, desert scrub; 600–1200[–2400] m; N.Mex., Tex.; Mexico (Chihuahua, Coahuila, Nuevo León, San Luis Potosí, Tamaulipas, Zacatecas).
