Leaflets: teeth apex acute, abaxial surfaces ± white to white, straight hairs usually dense on veins, cottony hairs sparse to dense.
Flowering summer. Dry grassy slopes, moist meadows and forests, oak and conifer woodlands; 1800–2900 m; Ariz., N.Mex.; Mexico (Chihuahua, Sonora).
