Perennials. Stems prostrate to trailing, glabrous or puberulent. Leaves: blade ovate, 20–30 × 20–25 mm, surfaces glabrous or puberulent, glabrescent. Flowers: sepals unequal, lanceolate to oblong-ovate, 15–28 × 4–10 mm; corolla 70–85 mm; styles connate 1/2 length. Capsules conic.
Flowering summer–early fall. Sand-pine scrub; of conservation concern; 0–30 m; Fla.
