Winter buds conic, shiny, not glaucous, glutinous, sparsely hairy, hairs primarily rufous. Leaflets not papillose abaxially nor glaucous adaxially. Flowers: perianth and androecium epigynous. Pomes red, ˂not glaucous˃; sepals persistent; carpels connate entire length, apex convex.
