Mitrasacme Labill.

光巾草屬

Small delicate herbs, annual or perennial. Leaves opposite, small, entire; stipules forming a minute sheath. Flowers small, white or yellowish, 1 to many in terminal and axillary fascicles or umbels; calyx campanulate, 4-lobed; corolla campanulate or cup-shaped, 4-lobed, valvate in bud; stamens 4, inserted on corolla tube, anthers ovate, usually included; ovary 2-locular, ovules many; styles 2, connate at first, later separating from base upward, usually finally divergent; stigmas capitate or 2-lobed; ovules many; placentae peltate. Capsules subglobose, truncate to bifid at apex; seeds minute, numerous, subglobose, reticulate.

About 30 species, mainly in Australia, a few in tropical Asia and the Pacific Islands. Two species in Taiwan.
