矮形光巾草
A delicate small annual 5-10 cm tall; stems simple or branched at base, bearing a few opposite leaves toward base, scape-like in upper part. Leaves subsessile, ovate to elliptic, 5-12 mm long, 2-5 mm broad, apex acute or obtuse, obsoletely 3-nerved at base, sparsely scaberulous. Flowers white, 3-5-verticillate at top of the stem, forming an umbellate inflorescence; calyx 1 mm long, 4-lobed, lobes lanceolate, acute; corolla ca. 2-3 mm across, 4-lobed, throat hairy; pedicels 10-40 mm long. Capsules globose, ca. 2-3 mm in diam., bifid.

Widely distributed in southern and eastern Asia and Australia. Taiwan, rare, in sunny places in lowlands.
